On Friday, November 18th, Superior Security and Investigations (SSI) participated in the 2nd Annual Port Isabel Detention Center BBQ Cook-Off, benefiting the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC). The event hosted 6 teams, and more than 200 employees enjoyed sampling the food. The judges sampled each category, basing their overall score on the following criteria; taste, tenderness, consistency, and presentation. The judges tasted the entries and selected winners in each of the following categories: Best Beans, Best Chicken, Best Pork Baby Back Ribs, Best Specialty Dish, and Best Brisket. Team Superior was led by Mario Gutierrez the “The BBQ Master” and we were presented with the following trophies:

2016 PIDC Best Beans- 1st Place

2016 PIDC Best Chicken- 2nd Place

2016 PIDC Best Pork Baby Back Ribs- 2nd Place

2016 PIDC Best Brisket- 1st Place

And the 2016 Best BBQ Team Overall
